Statement of Faith

 

1. We Believe: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth Genesis 1:1

All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.  John 1:3

​2. We Believe: ...the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee, called Nazareth to a virgin... and the virgin's name was Mary.  The angel said to her... you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.  Luke 1:26-27, 30-31

3. We Believe: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

​

4. We Believe: ...all [men] have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Romans 3:23  

...for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 6:23

5. We Believe: For by grace you [a man] have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 

Ephesians 2:8-9

6. We Believe: ...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

7. We Believe: ...that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved.  Romans 10:9

8. We Believe: ...in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Matthew 28:19

9. We Believe: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, ...teaching them to observe all that I command you... Matthew 28:19, 20 

...and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all nations... Luke 24:47

10. We Believe: ...you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the great and foremost commandment.  The second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.  Matthew 22:37-39

11. We Believe: All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. II Timothy 3:16-17
